Correction policy
If a page on this library is factually wrong, we change the page. A correction needs the exact URL, the sentence that is off, and a public source that shows the right fact. We do not take patient files, and we do not treat a correction request as an intake call.
This site is an independent guide. It is not a clinic and it does not place people in beds. Crisis help stays on the public SAMHSA line at 1-800-662-HELP and on FindTreatment.gov.
What we will fix
- A dead or swapped official locator on a state page.
- An agency renamed by the state that we still list under the old title.
- A license, accreditation, or address fact on a labeled listing that does not match the program's own public record.
- A date, statute cite, or SAMHSA / CDC figure that no longer matches the source we named.
What we will not treat as a correction
- A request to invent a facility roster or a city doorway page.
- A request to un-label a paid card or to hide that the number on the card belongs to the program.
- A demand that we give medical advice, hold a bed, or take an insurance card.
- Patient records, photos of charts, or anyone else's health details. Do not send those.
How to send one
Write four lines: the page URL, the exact sentence, the public source URL, and your name or organization if you want it on the note. Until a public mailbox is posted (it is a queued item), keep the note with those four lines and check this page after the next editorial pass. Material errors are edited in place; the last-reviewed line on the page moves when the text does.
A listing advertiser who wants a card changed still has to match the license. A paid card does not buy a silent rewrite of a guide.
