Probation check-ins during a treatment stay
A residential stay does not automatically pause a court date, a probation check-in, or a drug-test window. The written order from the court or officer controls. This page is a question list. It is not legal advice and not a court filing service.

What to put on paper before travel day
- The officer or clerk name, the facility-owned phone they already have, and the next required date.
- Whether a missed in-person check-in needs written permission, a letter from the licensed program, or both.
- The sleep address on the state license, so any letter names the same campus. See license lookup.
What a stay does not do
Entering treatment is not the same as a continuance. Family cannot reschedule a hearing by calling this site. Ask the court clerk or the officer for the written rule. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. See 988, 911, and SAMHSA.
