CDL, DOT, warehouses
A stay is also a drug-and-alcohol clearinghouse problem.
Transportation and warehousing sits in the middle of SAMHSA’s industry tables — not the highest SUD rate, not the lowest. The occupational twist is the license: a commercial driver’s license, DOT testing, and the FMCSA Clearinghouse. A residential stay that ignores return-to-duty testing is a stay that can end a job even if the person finishes it.
Ask a program whether they have treated CDL holders and whether they understand SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) evaluations. That is a DOT role, not a nickname for a counselor. Long-haul isolation and stimulant use on the road are clinical facts, not folklore — treat them as questions for the assessment, not as a diagnosis from this page.
